WORKSHOP DETAILS: “WHAT CAN WE CHANGE TO EFFECTIVELY COMBAT POVERTY?”
This workshop will build on last year’s AGM, which asked ‘How do we build solidarity in the fight against poverty?’ It will look at the community organisations working to bring about change, and the institutions and structures put in place to support that change to take place, and ask what can we do differently to bring about long-lasting and meaningful improvements in the lives of these groups and communities?
Speakers:
- Damien Peelo, CEO of Treoir – will look at change for community organisations, providing feedback on a reflection process among community activists that has been taking place since the EAPN Ireland AGM in 2023.
- Hugh Frazer, Adjunct Professor at Maynooth University, independent expert on social inclusion and former Director of the Combat Poverty Agency – will focus on institutional change.
To register please email: enquiries@eapn.ie. Please indicate if you are registering for the full AGM or the Workshop, and if you will attend in person or online.
