Please find enclosed a submission to the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection on plans to bench mark social welfare rates. This submission was made with input from members of the EAPN Ireland Minimum Income Network and focuses on the need to approach bench marking from the perspective of ‘adequacy’ for those receiving welfare payments.
